Why do I need to be verified?
All tenants need to be verified by their landlord to confirm their tenancy, property details and eligibility to swap. There are a few reasons you might not be eligible to swap homes such as significant rent arrears or an outstanding complaint. You can ask your landlord to explain why you are not able to use MoveMaker should this situation arise.
How do I know if my landlord has verified me?
We will send you a notification. You can also see your verification status by clicking on the Menu button. If your landlord has verified you, it will say - You are verified. If they haven’t, it will say - You are currently unverified.
Can I still use MoveMaker while I’m waiting to be verified?
Yes, you can register, upload your property details and start searching for properties before your landlord verifies you, however you won’t be able to chat with potential property matches until you have been verified. We’re hoping this won’t take more than a couple of days.
What should I do if I am still waiting for my landlord to verify me?
If it’s been more than a week since you registered, contact your landlord to check on the status of your verification.
